Privacy Policy – SIDE-EX

1. Data Collection
SIDE-EX does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. The extension processes only text explicitly selected by the user in order to generate an explanation.
2. Local Storage
SIDE-EX may store the following data locally in the user’s browser only: User-selected text (for session or preference purposes) AI-generated explanations This data is stored using the browser’s WebExtension storage and is never transmitted to SIDE-EX servers.
3. External Services
When the user requests an explanation, the selected text is sent to: Groq AI API – used solely to generate explanations Privacy Policy: https://groq.com/privacy-policy No other third-party services are used.
4. Browsing & Tracking
SIDE-EX: does not track browsing history does not monitor visited websites does not use analytics or advertising services
5. Data Sharing
No data is sold, shared, or used for profiling or advertising.
6. User Control
Users can remove all locally stored data by: Uninstalling the extension Clearing browser storage
